Chocolate-Red Wine Bundt Cake
bundt cake pan
stand or hand mixer
unsalted butter, softened
dry red wine
(I used Merlot.)
Confectioner's sugar, for dusting
Whipped cream, for serving
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease your bundt pan with either butter and flour or cooking spray.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat eggs in one at a time. Add in vanilla and beat well for a few more minutes.
Alternate between adding in a bit of the wine and the dry ingredients into the mixer bowl while stirring slowly.
Pour batter into pan and level.
Bake for 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Carefully remove from the pan and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack.
Dust with powdered sugar, serve with whipped cream, and enjoy!
